Braces??? Help Me so Worried Here!!x?

1. Her teeth will get a little bit loose as they are moved around but they will NOT fall out! She wo not have to worry about that at all. 2. No! When she first gets them on, it may seem weird but as you get used to them, they will look just as normal as when she did not wear braces! So many people have braces, it's a completely normal thing! 3. No, it will not be painful. When they are fitting her for the metal bands, there may be some discomfort but she wo not be in pain while they put the braces on. Not at all. As for how long it takes, it depends on how much they do at once. For me, they only put the top braces on for the first time. Bottom braces were put on months later. It's been a few years, so I am going to guess it will take around an hour or more. But that's a guess. 4. Her mouth will be sore for about a week or so. She will definitley want to take some ibuprofren when she gets home from the orthodontist because in a few hours it's going to get painful. Eat only soft foods during this time! Soups, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, etc. 5. The orthodontist will have a list/picture of all the colors they have and will allow her to choose whatever she likes! There will be plenty to choose from! Trust me. I would avoid green though, it looks as if you have food stuck in your teeth. :p 6. They will tighten them up every 6 weeks. (The orthodontist will tell her when you need to come back in!) While they tighten them up, it does not hurt at all! But a few hours later her mouth will get sore. Again, take some ibuprofren when you get home and eat soft foods until the soreness subsides! Her mouth should feel better within a week. 7. I am not sure because I still have my braces on. People have told me it does not hurt. But when they are off, your teeth will feel very slick! 8. The orthodontist will tell her to NEVER brush your teeth with whitening toothpaste for this reason! As long as she does NOT whiten her teeth, she will not have to worry about difference in color on her teeth when braces come off. 9. No! Boys wear braces just as much as girls do. It's no different for the opposite sex. There is no reason to feel embarrassed for having braces. Most people wear them at some point in their life. It's extremely common. 10. No she does not. If she prefers to, she can. I will say that a lot of food will get stuck in your braces while eating! So she may want to have a toothbrush with her for after lunch! What I did when I was in school was take DenTex Eas Brush. They are similar to toothpicks, except they have bristles on the end. They fit inbetween any space and get the food out easily. She can get them at CVS, Wal-Mart, or anywhere really. Just make sure she brushes every morning when she wakes up, and brush AND floss before going to bed! It's important she continues to floss with braces. Hope this helps! Braces really are not that bad. Sometimes they are a nuisance but when she gets them off, the beautiful smile will be worth every minute of braces! Just make sure she wears her retainer braces or her teeth will just become crooked again. :p

1. I keep sleeping through my alarms?

I am guessing you are in highschool, i think i know what the problem is. Clearly, you are not getting enough sleep, try going to bed a little ealier. Here are a few tips, put your clock in a different place each night, so you wont get used to where the sound is coming from. Get two alarm clocks, place them in different places of your room. Good luck.

2. life with more than one child.. how do you do these things?

2. Take the new baby in to the bathroom with you when you go to have your shower, if there is anything your 20 month old particularly likes doing that's a bit more quiet then set him/her down to do that first. Otherwise have your showers at night once they have gone to bed :) For Cooking and Housework - A baby carrier for the new baby whilst talking to and including the 20 month old as much as possible whilst your walking around doing things around the house :)

3. How often should i bathe my cockatoo?

What you should do is give him the opportunity to bathe himself, when he wants to. Do that by offering him a large, flat pan of plain water. A couple times a week is good. My bird of that approximate same size uses an over sized, rectangular pan normally used for making sheet cakes. You want something large enough that he can spread at least one wing at a time and dip it into the water. If he has never bathed that way, it may take several times before he will venture into it. You can also try misting him with a spray bottle. Make sure it is misting and not squirting a stream. And never spray directly at him. Mist if from above so it floats down on him like rain. Some enjoy that, some do not. If he acts afraid, stop. You do not want to make him afraid of water so that he never wants to bathe. You can also get a shower perch and take him to the shower. But again, do not direct the water straight on him. Whatever method is used, do not try to use a hair dryer on him. Besides some of them having Teflon used in the manufacturing, they can dry out his skin and feathers, taking away all the benefits of the bath. Just make sure he bathes early enough in the day to dry naturally before bed time. Never have a bird going to bed wet and never use any kind of shampoo or other product no matter what a pet store may tell you. Use only plain water.
